as they are written. Commission Member Gough seconded the motion. All in favor and the motion carried.

GENERAL PLAN MAP

Commission Chair Huefner again explained the proposed roads on the General Plan map. There was discussion that it would be nice to name the road from Hodges Canyon to Bridgerland Stringham Byway because Earl Stringham worked so hard on planning future roads. He was a visionary about planning roads.

Commission Member Ballingham made the motion to approve the proposed amendments to the Garden City Zoning and future roads plan. Commission Member Bills seconded the motion. All in favor and the motion carried.

MISCELLANEOUS

Commission Member Ballingham said he has had a discussion with Council Member Laraine Schnetzer. They feel that Shundahai needs to be bonded for the Golf Course. Otherwise, someone could end up with a beautiful home, but surrounded with sagebrush. It was shut down in Town Council. Council Member Schnetzer didn’t understand what it was regarding. The Town Council isn’t getting the information from the Planning Commission.

Commission Member Gough said he is working on a letter. He’s made three different phone calls to other resort areas and they all indicate that they do bonding for anything that would affect the town like, Shundahai will be. But they also said they’ve never had anyone not build the Golf Course before they do their subdivision.

Commission Chair Huefner said she gave the assignment to Commission Member Gough to contact people about this because this is his passion. Commission Member Gough said they are sending him some information. He will have it ready for next months meeting.

Commission Member Ballingham said at one time, we talked about having someone go to the Town Council meeting to answer some of these questions. He wondered if the Town Council would give them a few moments to explain why they come up with some of the decisions they have about future projects. He thinks it would save them time.

Commission Member Bills made the motion to adjourn at 7:20 p.m. Commission Member Ballingham seconded the motion.
